Quibi raised $1B with the help of Disney, NBCUni, WarnerMedia, Viacom, etc. I think the big media conglomerates are hedging, but believe that Jeffrey Katzenberg still has the golden touch.

When Disney announced it was dropping Netflix's lucrative licensing deal last summer as part of a plan to grow their relationship with consumers by starting two streaming services, it was clear that a major industry shift was happening. Disney recently announced the name of their Netflix-fighter, called Disney+. I provided my thoughts on the move last August and while I suggested Comcast was next to go direct to consumer, it looks like AT&T's Warner Media will be up first...
